Taking my time.
I generally tend to rush books. I kind of feel like I have to because of my book blog; I need to get one review up after the other. But recently this has been grating on me. Why do I book blog? The answer is simple - for myself, to keep track of what I’m reading, and my thoughts on the books. For no other reason did I start that blog. So why on earth do I pressurise myself like I do?...

Struggling with 1984.
I promised myself that I would read some of the ‘classics’ this year, and 1984 by George Orwell is my first pick of the year. Safe to say, I’m struggling. I have no real idea what is going on in the plot and I’m so tempted to just give up and read it some other time. That’s bad! I hate giving up on books. But I recently watched One Day on DVD and it reminded me how...

In one of those moods this morning where every little thing is annoying me! Urgh, wish we had a big enough house where we had a ‘day room’ and a ‘living room’. I need some space! My mum’s sat like four feet away from me wiggling her foot in my eye line and it’s annoying me no end. Won’t say anything though because she’s one of those people that if...

NaNoWriMo 2012
NaNoWriMo project for this year: Dystopian/Post Apocalyptic. I like asking ‘what if’, so I figure this is a pretty good place to start. Though this is as far as I’ve got.

Really wanna get into some kind of exercise routine. But I don’t like the cold so I’m totally not going running, and I never have the motivation to do the Wii - even though it clearly works because I usually ache like hell the next day. I want to go like swimming once a week, because I’m not looking to lose any weight (like, at all), just tone up and get a little fitter :) Shame...
Watching that thing about future lives on This Morning has really fascinated me. I’ve always been really interested in the whole past life thing, but I’ve never even thought about looking into the future. I’ve had a dream about where I was before - working on a farm apparently, still a blonde, in old fashioned clothing, and really, really happy. I’ve had that dream a few...
Going to work in my Dr Martens today…now that the snow has pretty much disappeared. Why, oh why, do I ALWAYS think practical after the moment to actually be practical has passed? They’re cosy and warm though, lined with fluffy stuff. I want some more but I need to save my pennies so Chris and I can have some wonga when we decide what we’re going to do.

In less than a year, much less, I’ve gone from not knowing how I would/if I could get out of bed in a morning to being offered my dream job. I’ve gone from not being able to leave the house for fear of judgement, to being able to travel across the country to be with…
This is pure brilliance, and so totally relevant to my life at the moment. Maybe I should just do...

Anonymous asked: how long have you and your boyf been together? do you not live together/stay at each other's houses?
I like Sundays. I always have really scrumptious food, watch bad telly, have a long, warm bath, and go to bed early to read. Plus tonight I’m starting a new book which is always exciting, and my mum baked chocolate cake and chocolate chip muffins so I can stuff my face whilst enjoying my evening. Sundays are bliss, there’s just always one thing missing - Chris.

Just realised that the window guys have taken off the stable door that we had at the back of the house. We’re having a new PVC one put in, but the old stable door has scratch marks on it from my dog. She used to scratch the door to let us know that she was done outside and wanted to come in, and that just kind of feels like another part of her is gone. She died two years ago now, but I still...
I’m honestly quite surprised that I haven’t had a text from my supervisor at work yet asking my to come in early. Wednesday every week is the day that my boss has off, and we’re mega short staffed at the moment because we’re on a hiring ban (how ridiculous when we can’t really manage without more staff!?). We have two members of staff off sick, and one on holiday this...
