I promised myself that I would read some of the ‘classics’ this year, and 1984 by George Orwell is my first pick of the year. Safe to say, I’m struggling. I have no real idea what is going on in the plot and I’m so tempted to just give up and read it some other time. That’s bad! I hate giving up on books. But I recently watched One Day on DVD and it reminded me how much I loved the book - I want that feeling back again. I want to love the book I’m reading, not be trudging through it. Sigh.
